Cernica
Cernica Monastery, on the shore of the lake with the same name, near the Cernica forest.
The monastery was build in the XVII century by the Vornic Cernica Stirbei, and is placed on an half-isle, surrounded by by the lake Cernica, near the forest, Est of Bucharest. The Cernica forest is one of the few green areas arround the capital.
For a full day trip, we recommand you to visit Pustnicu and Pasarea Monastery also.
How to get there?
From Bucharest, through Pantelimon, on the old road to the sea. After Pantelion village there is a road on the right to Cernica, with a post sign. Aprox 20-25 km, 1h by car, 1h30' - 2h by bike.
